The Club and More. . . .

My father wanted others to color and wanted his children to form “The Truver Road Coloring Club,” the name of the road he lived on for most of his adult life. It is simple to join , all you have to do is buy one of our books, color the design and send it back to us with your comments. It’s that simple, you’ve joined.

Since we are so new in our business, the members don’t have any special benefits as of yet but as we grow, I plan to give members special discounts. I also plan to put different members’ pictures on the site for others to view. I may also use pictures in future publications of design books.

About the Books

I created and published two books. The purple book was the first one and had designs that are detailed but not too difficult that individuals can complete them without getting frustrated. The blue book was created after visiting a rehabilitation hospital that dealt with head injuries. The staff reviewed the purple book and found that it would be too difficult for their patients to complete and would only lead to frustration. So I went back to the drawing board and created the blue book with larger designs. These designs are much less complex and can be used with initial treatment sessions. Once the patient has mastered coloring these designs they can graduate to the purple book.

Do you like to Color?

Take some time here to reflect on your youth. Didn’t you just love to color? If you did, I’m sure that you still do but just don’t find the time to do it or you feel kind of silly taking the time to do it. When you do get to color, you may find sillier coloring in a kids coloring book? That’s why the books are made up of geometric designs. They are more grown up but can still be colored by children, they are all age appropriate.

Watch a child

Have you ever watched a child color? They are happy, aren’t they? They are relaxed and just having fun, and creating something that is unique to them. How good coloring makes them feel. What does mom do with the picture that a child has colored? She puts it on the refrigerator to build that child’s self esteem, makes that child proud of that accomplishment. Coloring innately gives these to anyone who colors, mom just helps the child experience these benefits.

Our hectic lives

Look at our hectic lives. Do we take the time to sit down and relax? Do we feel guilty for taking that time? Do we feel we should be doing something productive? But what has our society done to us, we are stressed out, have high levels of anxiety. Heart disease has become a killer of both men and women because of these factors. We have to change this. Coloring can help you reduce stress and anxiety in your life. You need to take time each day to color. You don’t want to do it by yourself? Do it with your children and create a quality family time activity. Do it with your friends at work on your break or at lunchtime? See if it doesn’t make a positive change in your life.
